Beauty swaps for brides on a budget

BUDGET FRIENDLY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BRIDES

Weddings are expensive. Full stop. If you’re reading this then you already know. Here are a few of my favorite budget friendly beauty swaps for brides.

for more recommendations be sure to follow Deb on instagram and visit her ShopMy page.

Exfoliating peel pads

If you read my previous blog post then you know about my skincare essential fave the Dr. Dennis Gross peel pads. They are good. My skin feels like butter after I’ve used them and moisturized. That being said, First Aid Beauty offers a good budget friendly option to help in the gentle exfoliation department. I use these in my kit since I know they’re gentle on everyone and work well before makeup applications.

2. Shimmering body oil

Guys, don’t sleep on body oil. For a special event it adds that yummy glowy addition to your overall look. Once you see it applied and how it makes your décolleté look as hydrated and glowy as your face you’ll love throwing some on for your bridal season events (or even just a date night or girls night out).

The swap: Patrick Ta Major Glow Body Oil $38 vs TOM FORD Mini Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil $110

3. Nude pink lipstick

Pillow Talk is the cult classic nude pink lip. And it has such a strong following because it’s pretty universally flattering (and Charlotte says so, too). I like this L'Oréal swap as a super budget friendly option. It gives the same vibes at a lower price point. I still will always keep the OG in my kit though.

The swap: L'Oréal Colour Riche Original Satin Lipstick $11.49 vs Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick $35

4. Moisturizer

I love me a good moisturizer. The kinds that feel rich and velvety smooth. If the pricetag of SkinCeuticals, or Dr. Dennis Gross, or any other DERMSTORE find makes you balk no worries. CeraVe and Vanicream are OGs still going strong for a reason. Dermatologists always and forever recommend those brands. And they’re very budget friendly and easily found at pretty much any local store. But if you’re interested in giving something new a try check out Maelove. Their Glowmaker vitamin C serum is supposed to be an awesome dupe for more expensive serums as well.

The swap: Maelove Hydro Relief Peptides & Amino Acids Cream $36.95 vs SkinCeuticals Daily Moisture $78

5. Self tanner

Self tanner is one of those mood booster products. I automatically feel a little better when applied. Something about the warm bronzy glow it gives can easily elevate a look. That’s why we recommend brides get spray tans for their wedding day. It pops against your gorgeous white dress and makes you glow even more on the day. If you can’t quite justify the custom spray tan for *every* wedding event I recommend going for the glove and the tan in a bottle. I personally like looking for self tanners with cleaner ingredients if possible. My two current faves are Coco & Eve and Beauty By Earth.

The swap: Coco & Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam $38 vs Custom hand spray tan $60+
